Ghostly Goodness
Ghostly International has just released GHOSTLY ESSENTIALS: RARITIES ONE, a new collection of electronic rarities from their roster, available for free download here. Including obscure tracks by some of Ghostly's more renowned artists such a Audion/Matthew Dear, and Mobius Band, the collection plays not merely as a random smattering of b-sides, but as a cohesive grouping of some top notch electronic music.
As a label, Ghostly and it's sister off-shot, Spectral Sound have remained at the forefront of contemporary electronic music and avant-pop. Recent releases have included the likes of Tycho, School of Seven Bells, and Choir of Young Believers. On February 23rd, they will be releasing the LP version of Phantogram's new album, EYELID MOVIES. The album incorporates break-beats and synth pulses draped in a dark wash of shoe-gazed ambiance combined with a substantial amount of pop hooks, resulting in an album that is both easy to groove to and sing-along with.
The CD version of EYELID MOVIES is available now from Barsuk Records.
You can download the song, "When I'm Small" from the album for free here.
