The Original Sounds of Clones

Dense arrays of ambient loops, euphoric effects, and eviscerating beats supercollide to form a galaxy of sound wherever Clones of the Queen (Honolulu, HI) take the stage. The trio (of Paul Bajcar-guitar, Ara Laylo-lead vocals, Mattew McVickar-electronics) are a concept band whose songs interlock to form a sci-fi tale. It's a story that develops further along as the band evolves as well, and if Clone's sonic progression is any indication, then we are in for one hell of a story!

Their new EP,
MIDDLE WORLD is available as a free download from their website. Also included is a song by member, Matthew McVickar's solo endeavor, Lapwing. "Snowstorm" is a pleasant ambient blip-hop experience, on par with anything from Morr Music or Darla. While the song itself is not indicative of the full-range of McVickar's musical capabilities, it does offer an introduction into the foray of his talents beyond his work in Clones of the Queen.
