The fourth annual Taste of Waialua Celebration is this Saturday, Apr.23rd @ The Historic Waialua Sugar Mill. A gathering of local art, coffee, chocolate, food, music, and community groups to celebrate the rebirth of the Historic Waialua Sugar Mill Town. Featuring live performances by Bla Pahinui, Abrigo Ohana, Ke Kani Nahe, and Clear Sky. For more info, visit tasteofwaialua.com.
It's Afrobeat Madness @ thirtyninehotel on Saturday, Apr.23rd. With KTUH djs: The Musical Ingredient Chef, Alex, DJ Crystal, Fifth Columnist, and Cookiehead Jenkins. With live music by Jamarek. For more info, visit thirtyninehotel's blog.
Every 4th Thursday of the month is Art & Flea, a community event featuring local vendors, vintage clothing, art, djs, and live music. This month's theme is "Electric Boogaloo", an 80's breakdance party. Dressing in line with the theme is encouraged, but not mandatory. This month will feature KTUH djs: DJ Kyd, DJMJ, DJ Squid, Kno Kname, Vice 1, DJ Dandy, Davey Shindig and myself. With special guest (and former KTUH dj), Kavet The Catalyst of the Light Sleepers Show. Also performing: K-LUV+Live Band. More info at artandflea.com.

Toro Y Moi in Honolulu Apr.23rd
Toro Y Moi (Columbia, SC) will be performing for BROADCAST @ Next Door in Honolulu, HI on Sat., Apr.23rd, 2011. Tickets are available for purchase at idgosee.com, a website designed by local musician Matthew McVickar in the interest of bringing outside talent to perform live in Hawaii. The input he receives helps to coordinate and insure future shows that are of interest to the local community of fellow music lovers.
